High End Pedals
Did you see at revzalot.com that the new P35 pedals are now taking preorders? I think they're US$429. Unlike the current CST pedals, they're not drop-down.
Also at that site btw is the new Ajira racing colour scheme, which I like. Falling into Level 4 iRacing-induced depression. |

RE: High End Pedals
Yes I have,
And I'm really considering purchasing these. I think the quality of the CST pedals compared to the P35r's are par. So purchasing one of these will be based on other considerations like dropdown/floor-up(?), and the looks ![]() Does anyone of you have race with drop-down pedals before? Whats the main difference in feel? ![]()

RE: High End Pedals
Lucas, you probably know this, but Julian Dyer and Martijn Top have the CST drop down pedals.

Lucas,
Looks like the new Revzalot pedals will go up in price if you order after August 12: http://forum.racesimcentral.com/showthread.php?t=294698 Falling into Level 4 iRacing-induced depression. |

RE: High End Pedals
Hi guys,
Yes, that's right, I think Anton will ask 479.- USD as regular price after August 12. Also, ASS has got an unit to test but I have no idea when they'll release their next issue. Hopefully before the 12th August so that potential buyers can have a completely unbiased review before the pre-order ends. Lucas, one difference to CST is the use of hall sensors. I must say I've always hated pots, because I hate to tinker with electronic equipment and now it's really good to know that I don't have to bother with that anymore, as the hall sensors should last forever. Regarding the pushdown and hangdown design, that's a matter of taste. Real race-cars have almost all pushdown designs to maintain a low COG but also because of ergonomics (the pivot point of the pedals is at the same place as the pivot point of your feet and that feels a bit better and gives you a bit more control) but some people prefer the hangdown design because that's what they're used to in their street cars. It's however easier to adjust the spacing of the pedals in the CST I think, as they're mounted on a bar and can be slided to the left and to the right if I'm not mistaken. In the revzalot pedals you would need to do more work to slide them to the left or to the right and that's also why Anton asks the exact dimension and spacing you want before he builds the pedals. The height is easily adjustable though. I guess you'll be happy with either one, once you try a load-cell brake, you'll wonder how you could drive without it for so long. ![]() Cheers, Dani |
